From Box #3

Well Eldon.  You just explained to me why I NEVER had any success with garlic despite many attempts over the years.  Who knew!
Now I need to understand the woodiness of my radishes.
Its a great idea to have people exchanging thoughts and ideas.  I also would appreciate some culinary tips for  the onslaught of swiss chard, and other delectables that seem to come in waves.

(Sounds like we have some lumber in the radish patch..second time that has been mentioned. Anybody got a solution?)
